As RussoBalt was World first 4 x 4 wheel druve car. At RussoBalt was made World First tank - Porokhovscikova tank. And famous helicopter creator - Sikorsky - was RussoBalt engeneer.

The Russo-Baltic Wagon Factory (German: Russisch-Baltische Waggonfabrik; Russian: Русско-Балтийский вагонный завод, RBVZ) was founded in 1874 in Riga, then a major industrial centre of Russian Empire. Originally the new company was a subsidiary of the Van der Zypen & Charlier company in Cologne-Deutz, Germany. In 1894 the majority of its shares were sold to investors in Riga and St. Petersburg, among them local Baltic German merchants F. Meyer, K. Amelung, and Chr. Schroeder, as well as Schaje Berlin, a relative of Isaiah Berlin. The company eventually grew to 3,800 employees

During show was made a decision to open manufacturing back in Baltic.

2008. ARMORED CAR MANUFACTURING WAS STARTED IN TALLINN, ESTONIA.

Due some reasons instead of Riga car manufacturing was opened in Estonia - neighbour country. But anycase it was real Russo - St. Peterburg, Putilovsky Zavod - and Balt - Tallinn, Estonia.

2009. PROMBRON (ex.RussoBALTIQUE) MONACO 100 edition take part at Top MARQUES MONACO SHOW

100 years after first car left RBVZ factory gates car come back to Monaco, 97 years after legendary and heroic Nagel and Mikhailoff did their way. We choosed same road. Regarding 100 years date car was named MONACO 100 edition.

2009. DARTZ PROMBRON' (ex.RussoBaltique) MONACO RED DIAMOND edition was released

The car became scandalous and famous before it was done. That's why it was sold long time before presentation and had to change outlook idea - like new owner want.

2010. IN RIGA at DARTZ.POWER GARAGE WAS MADE WORLD MOST EXPENSIVE SUV - RED DIAMOND EDITION

RussoBalt and PROMBRON' in numbers

Production figures were given from A. Isave's book and may only be considered as a guide to annual report.

All types of RussoBalt (one car was named RussoBaltique for MonteCarlo Rally):

1909 - 10 units

1910 - 10 units

1911 - 30 units

1912 - 78 units

1913 - 100 units

1914 - 140 units

1915 - 90 units

Note:

Research in the Poliotechincal Museum confirmed that all together 1200 unites of both passenger cars and commercial vehicles were made from 1909 to 1919. A late prewar Chassis No.610, which was a model 24/40, was involved in all Russian Reliability Trials of 1923. As only 461 units are accounted for in above list, No. 610 must have been made during World War I. Probably the balance between 1915 and 1919 was made for the war efforts - which make us to declare that RussoBalt was leading armored car brand during WWI.

Othe data's inform that there was build 623 (635) cars under RussoBalt name.

At 1922 in Moscow factory Fili, from spares evacueted from Riga to St.Peterburg abd after to Fili was made 5 (other dates 10 and 22) cars under name PROMBRON' (ex.RussoBalt).

1874. Russo-Baltic Wagon Corp

1907. Was made a decision to open Automotive Department at RBVZ.

1908. Car manufacturing was started in Riga.

1909. First car RussoBalt C left factory gates.

1911. DECEMBER, 31. Andrey Nagel and Vadim Mikhailoff going to Monaco Rally.

1912. RussoBalt C24-50 or RussoBaltique finished in Monaco.

1912. Russian Tzar Nikolai II ordered RussoBalt for Russian Army.

1914. On RussoBalt C base was made armored car.

1915. Factory was evacuated from Riga to St.Petersburg.

1917. Lenin told his famous speech from RussoBalt board.

1922. RussoBalt was Renamed to PROMBRON' (ex.RussoBalt)

1922. FIRST & LAST PROMBRON' (ex.RussoBALT) cars was made.
